Gullas College of Medicine (GCM) celebrated Indian culture and tradition with Garba Night 2026, held on October 19, 2026, at the Spring of Knowledge, GCM, Banilad, Mandaue City.

The evening brought the GCM community together through music, traditional dance, and a shared appreciation of Indian heritage.

Celebrating Indian Culture Through Garba Night 2026

Garba is a traditional folk dance from Gujarat, closely tied to the Hindu festival of Navratri. It is known for its rhythmic movements, colorful costumes, and circular formations, with dancers moving together in a way that naturally draws people in.

Garba Night 2026 gave the GCM community a chance to experience and appreciate these traditions firsthand. The venue was filled with color as Indian students wore traditional attire, including vibrant chaniya cholis and kurtas, reflecting the festive spirit of the occasion.

Strengthening Diversity and Unity at GCM

More than a celebration of one culture, the event reflected GCM’s appreciation for the many cultures that make up its student community. As a medical institution that welcomes students from different countries and backgrounds, GCM values an environment where traditions are respected, shared, and celebrated by everyone.

Through events like Garba Night, the college continues to encourage student engagement, build stronger connections, and foster a sense of belonging on campus.

GCM also extends its appreciation to the Supreme Student Council (SSC) and the Student Affairs and Services Center (SASC) for organizing Garba Night 2026 and helping bring the college community together in celebration of Indian culture and tradition.
