Curriculum FAQs

GCM follows a 4-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) program, which includes basic sciences, clinical sciences, and hands-on clinical rotations in affiliated hospitals.

We use a combination of traditional lectures, case-based learning (CBL), problem-based learning (PBL), laboratory work, simulation training, and actual hospital-based experiences.

Yes. We provide a bridging program for our 3rd year students going into clerkship/4th year to enhance their clinical skills like vital signs taking, IV, NGT, and FBC insertion, medical specialty procedures (suturing, pediatric, obstetric, etc), and all instruction is in English. This is to ensure our students are ready to enter clerkship.

Clinical rotations are conducted in Bohol at Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Medical Center, Ramiro Community Hospital, and Allied Care Experts (ACE) Medical Center. In Cebu, rotations take place at Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, Mendero Medical Center, The Hospital at Maayo, Eversley Childs Sanitarium, Cebu City Medical Center, and St. Anthony Mother and Child Hospital ensuring students get real-world patient care experience.

Yes, NMAT (National Medical Admission Test) is required for both local and international students as part of the CHED/Philippine medical education requirements. Cutoff is 40.

Transferees are accepted however they have to go back to first year Medicine.

Yes, the MD degree from Gullas College of Medicine (GCM) is recognized in many countries, subject to the licensure and regulatory requirements of each. We are also proud to share that GCM has recently achieved PAASCU Candidate Status, a significant step toward full accreditation. Our institution is actively working toward securing full PAASCU accreditation before 2026, further strengthening the global recognition and credibility of our medical program.

Yes. Students can engage in research, community health electives, and medical missions as part of their academic or extracurricular development.

GCM has a roster of board-certified faculty members, many of whom are practicing specialists in their fields.

Major examinations include bimonthly exams and comprehensive exams. Bimonthly exams are conducted every two months. Minor examinations (long exams) vary by subject, but on average there are two to three long exams per subject during each bimonthly period. Other minor assessments, such as short quizzes and laboratory quizzes, also vary depending on the subject.

Scholarship FAQs

The scholarship program is open to incoming Doctor of Medicine (MD) students who hold a bachelor’s degree in any field of study from an accredited higher education institution. Eligibility may vary depending on the specific scholarship grant.

Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements set by the Scholarship Committee, which may include academic achievements, NMAT performance, completion of admission requirements, and submission of all required scholarship documents. Additional criteria may apply depending on the scholarship category.

The coverage depends on the specific scholarship grant awarded. Scholarship benefits may include full or partial tuition coverage, miscellaneous fees, living allowance, board and lodging, meals, and other educational support.

No. There is currently no separate application fee for scholarship applicants.

Application deadlines are announced annually through official Gullas College of Medicine communication channels. Applicants are encouraged to submit their requirements as early as possible.

Yes. Shortlisted applicants may be required to undergo an interview conducted by the Scholarship Committee. Additional assessments may be required depending on the scholarship grant.

Results are typically released after the completion of the screening and interview process. Successful applicants will be notified once final approval has been granted.
