Gullas College of Medicine, Cebu, has been honored with an Honorary Merit Award in recognition of its outstanding educational impact on Nigerian students, as well as other foreign and local students.
The award acknowledges the institution’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and creating an environment that supports international students. Gullas College of Medicine was recognized as one of the top-tier, international academic-friendly institutions in the Philippines during the Nigerian Student Convention in Manila hosted by the National Association of Nigerian Society (NANS). The award was presented by the Embassy of Nigeria and received by Dr. Felisse Marianne Z. San Juan and Mr. Aldren Hila on behalf of Dr David Koil Pillai and Ms. Kathreena Pillai. This award highlights the college’s dedication to nurturing global leaders through quality education and cross-cultural engagement.
Adding to GCM’s accolades is Ofemelu Chinemerem Emmanuella, a second-year January batch medical student, crowned Miss NANs Philippines 2024. She will proudly represent her Nigerian peers and the international student community, further elevating the college’s reputation. Another source of pride for GCM is Ojukwu Collins Uchenna, a second-year medical student from the January batch, who was recently honored for his exceptional leadership as the President of NSA Cebu. These honors reaffirm Gullas College of Medicine's status as a premier institution for academic excellence and cultural inclusivity. The college is dedicated to empowering students from around the globe, making it a second home where academic aspirations can flourish in a respectful and supportive environment.
