So far, GCM has been a fortified academic medical background upon which my ongoing career initiative started, and I will live to make this institution proud evermore.
My MBBS journey in college was a mix of hard work, pressure, and unforgettable moments. From attending endless lectures to late-night study sessions, every day taught me something new. Clinical postings made me more confident and helped me understand real patient care. I built strong friendships that supported me through tough exams and stressful days. Overall, the journey shaped me into a more disciplined, responsible, and compassionate future doctor.
Several people at GCM had a significant influence on my development. My faculty mentors challenged me academically while also modeling what compassionate, evidence-based care looks like. One mentor in particular encouraged me to pursue research and helped me build confidence in my clinical reasoning.
During my final year, the faculty focused extensively on OSCEs and clinical skills, which helped build my confidence in patient assessment, communication, and hands-on medical practice.
GCM helped me fill the gap between knowledge and practice, I definitely am more confident now in public speaking thanks to all those case presentations and OSCE.
Since graduating from Gullas College of Medicine, one of my most meaningful achievements has been successfully transitioning into clinical practice as a medical intern at Burapha University Hospital. I have had the opportunity to apply the knowledge and values I gained from GCM in real-world settings, caring for patients during challenging and life-defining moments.
GCM did it all. I came to that school barely knowing what medicine is, but I’m here now, so I’m grateful.
GCM provided us with a hybrid kind of review with XpertMD review center. Gave us some motivational words on how to tackle the boards and the technique in answering it.
GCM gave me the clinical foundation and discipline that continue to guide my decisions even outside traditional practice. The rigorous training, patient exposure, and academic structure taught me how to think critically, communicate clearly, and approach healthcare with responsibility and empathy. These skills have helped me transition effectively into medical claims, employee health support, and policy interpretation in the insurance sector.
With the right mentorship you can conquer anything and I got that mentorship at GCM, which made me a resilient person that I am today.
GCM provided a thorough grounding in anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and all major clinical subjects. From early clinical postings to final-year rotations, I got to interact with patients across different specialties. Long duty hours, exams, clinical responsibilities, and teamwork taught me discipline and time management. My college shaped my work ethic and commitment to serve.
GCM prepared me with world-class facilities and faculty that helped me learn and achieve my full potential as a doctor.
My most impactful experience at GCM was the Muslim prayer room and how diverse, welcoming, and accepting the community is.
My impossible became possible through GCM
Gullas College of Medicine helped me develop discipline, resilience, critical thinking, and professionalism — qualities that are essential in the medical field. With the guidance of dedicated mentors, residents, and consultants, I became more confident in handling real-life clinical situations and more prepared for the responsibilities of my future career as a doctor.
During my time in GCM, I organised my self for the future and wanted Australia to be my final destination, I worked hard and here I am today.
GCM helped clear my Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Postgraduate (PG) exam in first attempt.
Its graduates excel in FMGE and global placements, with high pass rates and diverse opportunities in clinical practice, research, and healthcare leadership.
GCM’s quality of medical education, I’d say, is on par with government medical colleges in India.
GCM trained me to be adaptable, disciplined, and receptive to learning, strengthening my ability to grow, accept feedback, and continuously improve in clinical practice. My favorite memory was during my clerkship, where hands-on patient care and learning under supervision shaped my growth and passion for medicine.
