Gullas College of Medicine (GCM) proudly welcomed representatives from the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) for the HERDIN Research Camp, a joint initiative designed to enhance research management skills across academic institutions.
The training was held in collaboration with the Center for Health Research and Innovation (CHRI) and the GCM Library, and brought together GCM’s library staff, research committee members, and faculty research advisers for a full-day workshop focused on the Health Research and Development Information Network (HERDIN)—the national repository of health research information in the Philippines.
We were honored to host the esteemed team from PCHRD’s Research Information, Communication, and Utilization Division (RICUD):
Ms. Ullyann C. Garcia, Chief Science Research Specialist, RICUD
Ms. Maria Violeta G. Intia, Supervising Science Research Specialist, RICUD
Ms. Grace Ruth T. Daulat, Science Research Specialist II
Ms. Donavie D. Flores, Project Technical Assistant VI
Ms. Angelique R. Regio, Project Technical Assistant IV
Ms. Alyza A. Ganon, Project Technical Assistant III
Their expertise and hands-on guidance were invaluable as they walked participants through HERDIN’s submission protocols, repository functions, and indexing procedures. This activity marks an important step in GCM’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its research infrastructure and promoting a culture of scientific inquiry.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the PCHRD team for their dedication to capacity building and look forward to future collaborations that continue to elevate health research in the country.
