Gullas College of Medicine proudly participated in the Cebu Provincial Government’s Medical, Dental, Optometry, Ophthalmology, and Surgical Mission held in Carcar City on Saturday, August 30, 2025. A dedicated team of GCM medical students, under the guidance of Dr. Faith Yee, Dr. James Dela Cruz, Dr. Sumiya Fanlo, and Dr. Charbonneau, contributed their skills and service to this vital outreach effort.

The event marked the fourth leg of the Provincial Government’s medical and surgical outreach series and followed Governor Pamela Baricuatro’s State of the Province Address (SOPA), where she renewed her commitment to providing accessible and free healthcare services for every Cebuano.

Community Care in Action

Hundreds of residents of Carcar City availed themselves of free medical check-ups, dental services, optometry and ophthalmology consultations, surgical procedures, and essential medicines. The mission united volunteers from public and private institutions, fostering a spirit of Malasakit and Bayanihan.

GCM’s involvement not only ensured quality service but also gave its students valuable, hands-on experience in community healthcare delivery, strengthening their commitment to service and their training as future Filipino physicians.
