GCM Holds White Coat Ceremony Of The Year 2024

On June the 25th 2024,


GCM held its second White Coat Ceremony at the institution’s Auditorium.


This event recognized students' transition to Senior Clerkship. The event was held on the GCM campus's 6th-floor auditorium, bringing together students, faculty, and distinguished guests to commemorate this significant rite of passage.


The ceremony began at midday with registration, followed by a moving doxology performed by the GCM Family of Love. The Philippine National Anthem and the International Students Anthem, which were performed live and on video, set a patriotic and inclusive tone amongst those present physically and virtually.


Atty. Janet Rocca Flores standing in for Atty. Joseph Baduel gave the opening comments, setting an uplifting tone for the gathering. Dr. Kitty Redula, Assistant Dean, introduced the keynote speaker of the day, Dr. Phythagoras M. Zerna, Medical Center Chief of Eversley Children's Sanitarium Hospital, who delivered a powerful speech that struck a chord with the future medical professionals.


Dr. Jose Albert B. Mejia, Chief of Clinics, introduced the distinguished faculty, recognizing their important responsibilities in shaping the students' academic experience. Dr. Sonny Redula, MEU-Chairman, led the students in reciting the Hippocratic Oath, demonstrating their dedication to ethical medical practice.


Mr. Arturo Marcelino Jr., senior clerk, wrote a meaningful message highlighting the cohort's common experiences and objectives. Dr. Thomas Vincent Tan, MEU-Chairman, closed the ceremony with remarks that exemplified the spirit of dedication and excellence.Hosts Mr. Xavier Bandoles and Ms. Katherine Garote kept the event running smoothly, and their seamless coordination contributed to the ceremony's success.


The GCM White Coat Ceremony 2024 was more than just a ceremonial affair; it was a tribute to the students' hard work, effort, and dedication.
