An initiative by the newly elected SSC Officers for AY 2025–2026

Today marked a historic milestone for Gullas College of Medicine (GCM) as the institution held its first-ever Philippine flag raising ceremony, a symbolic gesture to honor the nation’s heritage and instill a deeper sense of patriotism among its students, faculty, and staff.

Spearheaded by the Supreme Student Council (SSC) officers for Academic Year 2025–2026, the initiative reflects their commitment to fostering nationalism and unity within the GCM community. The solemn ceremony featured the traditional hoisting of the Philippine flag, accompanied by the singing of the national anthem and a collective pledge of allegiance.

A New Era of Student Leadership

Following the flag ceremony, GCM formally introduced its newly elected SSC officers, who are set to lead the student body through a year of dynamic initiatives and student-centered programs. The introduction highlighted each officer’s role and their shared vision of amplifying student engagement, promoting cultural pride, and strengthening the connection between students and administration.

With this inaugural event, the SSC officers emphasized their dedication to building a stronger GCM community—one that not only excels in academics and service but also takes pride in its identity as a Filipino institution.

Symbol of Unity and Patriotism

This historic ceremony sets the tone for the academic year, establishing a tradition of respect for the Philippine flag as a daily reminder of GCM’s mission to cultivate compassionate, service-oriented healthcare professionals. As the flag flew high on campus grounds for the first time, the moment served as a symbol of unity, resilience, and hope for all members of the GCM family.
