GCM ALUMNI HOLDS MEDICAL MISSION

On Sunday the 10th of March 2024,

The Gullas College of Medicine (GCM) Alumni in collaboration with Cruz Skin, City of

Talisay, OMDC, LRI Therapharma along with the Cebu Provincial Government, the

activity was spearheaded by the GCM Alumni Core Group led by Doctor Maria Theresa

Heyrosa holds a medical mission at the Talisay City gym in anticipation of the upcoming

47th Year Anniversary Grand Alumni Homecoming on July 13,2024. Students and

faculty from the UV Department of Nursing, College of Pharmacy and College of

Dentistry were also present to assist the doctors in their respective areas of

specialization.

The leading doctors for the services rendered during the medical mission were:

· Triage- Dr. Niño Ismael Pastor

· OB- Dr. Femia Pangan

· Surgery- Dr. Bong Plaza

· Derma- Dr. Herbert Ryan Cruz

· Diagnostics- Dr. Mariza Giango, Dr Jeremy Nielo

· Ophtha- Dr. Maria Theresa Heyrosa

· IM- Dr. Ed Yu

· ENT- Dr. Mark Guinocor

· Pedia- Dr. Andrew Erazo

A comprehensive array of medical services which include Internal Medicine, Pediatrics,

Family Medicine (also for Senior Citizens), General Surgery, Ophthalmology, HEENT,

Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Pain Management, OB GYN & Women’s Health Services

were provided. Additionally, mobile laboratories equipped with Chest X-ray, UACR,

Blood Sugar, and Uric Acid testing facilities were available on-site, ensuring efficient

diagnostic capabilities during the medical mission. Free Pneumococcal Vaccines were

also provided onsite. With a mission team of sixty (60) doctors and over one hundred

thirty (130) personnel ranging from volunteers, school faculty and support staff, the

medical mission was an overall success.
