This July 2025, the Gullas College of Medicine Alumni Society, Inc. leads a dynamic month of service, scholarship, and celebration โ proving once again that the GCM spirit lives far beyond the campus halls. With three meaningful events lined up, the Society continues to uplift communities, champion truth, and reunite generations of doctors in one grand celebration of legacy and impact.
Medical Specialty Mission: Bringing Quality Care to the Community

The Alumni Society opens the month with heart: a free Medical Specialty Mission that brings vital health services to those in need. With the help of volunteer doctors across specializations, the mission reflects GCMโs ongoing commitment to compassionate, accessible healthcare.
๐น Available Services:
General Surgery โ Minor surgery for cysts and โbugon,โ consults for hernia and hemorrhoids
OB-GYN โ VIA screening and consultations for ovarian, uterine, and other gynecologic concerns
Dermatology โ Skin consultations, skin tag and wart removal
Ophthalmology โ Visual acuity testing, cataract screening, eye check-ups
ENT โ Consultations and minor ENT procedures
Internal Medicine โ Cardiology, Pulmonology, Neurology, Endocrinology
Pediatrics โ Well-baby check-ups and consultations
Orthopedics & Pediatric Surgery โ Specialist consultations
๐ Participants are encouraged to bring old prescriptions or lab results.

On the morning after the mission, the Alumni Society invites everyone to a timely and thought-provoking symposium focused on a growing global concern: misinformation in health.
Led by physician, ethicist, and communicator Fr. Florge Michael Zamora Sy, MD, MA, MPA, this session will explore the evolving ethical responsibilities of doctors in the digital age โ where false health information can spread as fast as a virus.
