Best experienced in Med School:
Year 1990, when we had our first year in Med school, Cebu Province was hit by a super typhoon “Ruping”, the strongest typhoon that hit the Philippines. Our school building was badly destroyed, classes were suspended momentarily. We were told that we will have no class for a week but to our surprise, classes resumed as scheduled. Basic necessities were provided by the school, the blackboard was still intact, so medical learning continued.
At Gullas School of Medicine, we continue to learn no matter what.
PERSPECTIVE IN THE RECENT DEVELOPMENT OF THE SCHOOL:
Well, the recent school perspective of improving its facilities, building structures, administrative staff, faculties, and acquiring new technologies will help boost the students’ potential to become more goal-oriented. Not to stray behind but to see more of the future and what lies ahead of our technologically oriented world.
MESSAGE TO ASPIRING DOCTORS:
Have a positive outlook in life. Just like gold, it has to be harness by fire to make it pure and valuable. To be a doctor someday needs patience, longsuffering, and commitment to your dreams.
