I’m Cyril Britto, Selvaraj from India, Tamil Nadu. Though I am a foreign student, I really feel glad and happy for choosing GULLAS COLLEGE OF MEDICINE to pursue my dream as a doctor. I wholeheartedly thank our management for giving equal importance to students of every nationality in all ways. I am the current Class President of MD 2B AY 2020-2021 and the former Class President of MD 1B AY 2019-2020. It has been an amazing journey and GCM built me as a person with good morals and discipline, not only as a knowledgeable student but it also made me a good leader by helping me develop the leadership qualities, which every doctor must possess. Our professors have been great pillars in bringing every student to be good doctors and they also helped us prepare for all kinds of board exams through their clinically oriented teaching on every topic. Our GCM teachers and faculties have been like a parent in comforting us, specially our Director, Dr. Mila Maruya, who cared for us when we were in hardships and helped us overcome it. Moreover, she has been our second mother. With the COVID-19 pandemic, GCM protected the students by creating self-awareness posts to stay safe and be healthy. It also provided us with needed goods and food materials. My perspective about our school has recently developed to international standards with the modified infrastructure of classrooms and laboratories.
My message to aspiring medical students: ACTION IS THE FOUNDATIONAL KEY TO ALL SUCCESS. So stay positive! Work hard on your dreams and make it happen in our ‘’Gullas College of Medicine’’ Cebu, Philippines.
