{"id":5675,"date":"2024-04-05T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-04T16:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gcm.edu.ph\/gcm\/gcm-cares-gcm-holds-medical-mission\/"},"modified":"2026-06-05T15:17:59","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T07:17:59","slug":"gcm-cares-gcm-holds-medical-mission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gcm.edu.ph\/gcm\/gcm-cares-gcm-holds-medical-mission\/","title":{"rendered":"GCM Cares: GCM Holds Medical Mission"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GCM ALUMNI HOLDS MEDICAL MISSION<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Sunday the 10th of March 2024,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Gullas College of Medicine (GCM) Alumni in collaboration with Cruz Skin, City of<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Talisay, OMDC, LRI Therapharma along with the Cebu Provincial Government, the<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">activity was spearheaded by the GCM Alumni Core Group led by Doctor Maria Theresa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heyrosa holds a medical mission at the Talisay City gym in anticipation of the upcoming<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">47th Year Anniversary Grand Alumni Homecoming on July 13,2024. Students and<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">faculty from the UV Department of Nursing, College of Pharmacy and College of<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dentistry were also present to assist the doctors in their respective areas of<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">specialization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The leading doctors for the services rendered during the medical mission were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 Triage- Dr. Ni\u00f1o Ismael Pastor<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 OB- Dr. Femia Pangan<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 Surgery- Dr. Bong Plaza<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 Derma- Dr. Herbert Ryan Cruz<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 Diagnostics- Dr. Mariza Giango, Dr Jeremy Nielo<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 Ophtha- Dr. Maria Theresa Heyrosa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 IM- Dr. Ed Yu<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 ENT- Dr. Mark Guinocor<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 Pedia- Dr. Andrew Erazo<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A comprehensive array of medical services which include Internal Medicine, Pediatrics,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Family Medicine (also for Senior Citizens), General Surgery, Ophthalmology, HEENT,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Pain Management, OB GYN &amp; Women\u2019s Health Services<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">were provided. Additionally, mobile laboratories equipped with Chest X-ray, UACR,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Blood Sugar, and Uric Acid testing facilities were available on-site, ensuring efficient<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">diagnostic capabilities during the medical mission. Free Pneumococcal Vaccines were<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">also provided onsite. With a mission team of sixty (60) doctors and over one hundred<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">thirty (130) personnel ranging from volunteers, school faculty and support staff, the<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">medical mission was an overall success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls
