{"id":5674,"date":"2024-04-05T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-04T16:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gcm.edu.ph\/gcm\/gcm-participates-in-the-12th-apmc-meet\/"},"modified":"2026-06-05T15:19:18","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T07:19:18","slug":"gcm-participates-in-the-12th-apmc-meet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gcm.edu.ph\/gcm\/gcm-participates-in-the-12th-apmc-meet\/","title":{"rendered":"GCM Participates in the 12th APMC Meet"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gullas College of Medicine (GCM) recently had the honor of hosting the 12th Visayas<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regional Assembly of the Association of Philippine Medical Colleges (APMC), a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">watershed moment in regional medical education. The first day began with an<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">inauguration ceremony in the campus auditorium, followed by a series of interactive<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">activities intended at encouraging collaboration and knowledge exchange among<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">students, faculty, and staff from other medical schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the event, participants were given the chance to demonstrate their talents and<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">expertise in regional healthcare innovation, medical student research, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">interscholastic discussion. These activities allowed attendees to connect, compete, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">learn from one another, increasing their educational experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The day&#8217;s highlight was a lively discussion in which medical students from their separate<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">institutions competed on a variety of medical themes, bringing diverse perspectives and<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">answers to pressing healthcare concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On day two, GCM served as the host location for the first half of the assembly. The day<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">began with the much-anticipated Regional Quiz Bee, in which students exhibited their<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">knowledge and skills in a vibrant competition setting. Concurrently, another event, the<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regional Interscholastic Debate, allowed student debaters to engage in intelligent<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">conversations about current medical issues, improving their communication abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following these activities, participants engaged in a focused session on the Regional<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pathologic Case Conference, where they examined clinical cases under the supervision<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">of medical professionals. This part enabled in-depth discussions and knowledge<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">sharing, which enhanced the learning experience for all attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the on-campus activities completed, the assembly moved to a new location for the<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">rest of the three-day event, which was hosted by another medical school.
