Gullas College of Medicine (GCM) recently had the honor of hosting the 12th Visayas<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regional Assembly of the Association of Philippine Medical Colleges (APMC), a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

watershed moment in regional medical education. The first day began with an<\/p>\n\n\n\n

inauguration ceremony in the campus auditorium, followed by a series of interactive<\/p>\n\n\n\n

activities intended at encouraging collaboration and knowledge exchange among<\/p>\n\n\n\n

students, faculty, and staff from other medical schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, participants were given the chance to demonstrate their talents and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

expertise in regional healthcare innovation, medical student research, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

interscholastic discussion. These activities allowed attendees to connect, compete, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

learn from one another, increasing their educational experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day’s highlight was a lively discussion in which medical students from their separate<\/p>\n\n\n\n

institutions competed on a variety of medical themes, bringing diverse perspectives and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

answers to pressing healthcare concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On day two, GCM served as the host location for the first half of the assembly. The day<\/p>\n\n\n\n

began with the much-anticipated Regional Quiz Bee, in which students exhibited their<\/p>\n\n\n\n

knowledge and skills in a vibrant competition setting. Concurrently, another event, the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regional Interscholastic Debate, allowed student debaters to engage in intelligent<\/p>\n\n\n\n

conversations about current medical issues, improving their communication abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following these activities, participants engaged in a focused session on the Regional<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pathologic Case Conference, where they examined clinical cases under the supervision<\/p>\n\n\n\n

of medical professionals. This part enabled in-depth discussions and knowledge<\/p>\n\n\n\n

sharing, which enhanced the learning experience for all attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the on-campus activities completed, the assembly moved to a new location for the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

rest of the three-day event, which was hosted by another medical school. The joint<\/p>\n\n\n\n

efforts and passion shown throughout the assembly demonstrated GCM and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

participating schools’ commitment to furthering medical education and fostering<\/p>\n\n\n\n

cooperation in the Visayas region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
