Veteran Laboratory Supervisor of GCM Reflects on Years of Dedicated Service Mrs. Mary Josette Ecarma has served as a cornerstone of the GCM community for more than 25 years. She works as the Laboratory Supervisor for the laboratory facilities here in the institution and is affectionately referred to as Ma’am Josette by students and colleagues. Throughout her long career, she has seen students progress from humble beginnings to licensed experts ready to heal.<\/p>\n
Mrs. Ecarma was interviewed to get an insight on her long-standing dedication, during which she shared her experiences and comments on her time with GCM. Here are the five questions she was asked to understand what goes on behind the long time of service:<\/p>\n
1<\/p>\n
A: Seeing the students grow from being aspirants to successful doctors in the field of medicine. Seeing the campus grow into the institution it is now by seeing the facilities improve and the students from different backgrounds all sharing common goals. I have seen many people come and go serving as life-lessons.<\/p>\n
A: Based on my experiences before, I gave the students the encouragement to be resourceful as the way things were done before are different compared to how things are now. I encouraged the students to adapt to the changing world and be ready for the challenges.<\/p>\n

A: I go out with my friends and family to balance between my work and my personal life.<\/p>\n
A: There was this one moment where a student was having trouble with a microscope. I tried to assist in correcting the error only to find out that he was just joking as he never inserted a slide into the microscope. We shared a laugh, the said person is now a doctor.<\/p>\n
