The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) issued a Memorandum No. 149, Series of 2021 last June 03 to conduct a public orientation entitled, “Guidelines on the Implementation of Flexible Delivery of Student Affairs and Services (SAS) Programs during the COVID-19 Pandemic”, participated by the Heads/Directors of Student Affairs, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, faculty, staff, and students of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and other stakeholders last June 25, 2021 at 9AM-12NN via Zoom and Facebook Live.

The participants from Gullas College of Medicine – University of the Visayas (GCM-UV) were Dr. Jasmin U. Friberg (Associate Dean), Dr. Mila O. Maruya (Director, SASC & ISU), Dr. Marsha H. Malbas (Registrar), and Ms. Jesiel Ann Cabag (SASC Specialist) and the GCM students.

The purpose of the orientation was to inform the HEIs and the public of the crucial role of the Office of the Student Affairs and its mandate to implement relevant program especially during this pandemic. CHED Officials successfully disseminated the memorandum and clearly emphasized their expectations of quality, responsive, and relevant HEI’s SAS programs.
